India Karavackas is a firm believer that wisdom resides in all places and strives to hear and advance the wisdom in the voices of those not heard. She dedicates her personal time to the advancement of social justice on behalf of victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and human trafficking, serving as Board President of Avanzar, a non-profit social services agency in New Jersey. India holds a BA in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University, a JD from the Temple University Beasley School of Law and a LLM in Diplomacy and International Law from Lancaster University (UK). She has practiced law in both the public and private sectors and is presently the director of the Office of Global Engagement at Stockton University, a mid-sized public institution in New Jersey. Her interests include the increasing use and role of technology, specifically artificial intelligence, in the criminal justice system and its impact on the treatment of perpetrators and victims.
